Initial accession consists of 94 canisters of aerial film of Grand Forks area dating from June to October 1962. Coordinates of land photographed are taped to the canisters. Record control number 800383 AERIAL FILM contains aerial photographs done statewide which includes highways, cities, and areas outside of the cities. December 7, 2007 accession consists only of General Highway State & County maps which note when & where aerial film had been shot, also list the canister number of the film, maps date from 1960 to 1977 with most ranging from 1961, 1963, 1973 & 1977. Includes counties Barnes, Benson, Cass, Cavalier, Eddy, Foster, Grand Forks, Griggs, Kidder, Nelson, Pembina, Pierce, Ramsey, Ransom, Rolette, Steele, Stutsman, Towner, Traill, Walsh and Wells. Aerial film corresponding to the maps is still with Department of Transportation and may be transferred at a later date. August 4, 2008 accession consists of indexes for the aerial film consisting of 4 oversize map indexes and 1 ft of smaller map indexes for the years 1960 to 1984. April 23, 2009 accession consists of a rolled North Dakota state map that serves as an index to the aerial film, map dates from 1961 to 1977.
